DeGeneres, de Rossi plan to marry??

Breif info about Portia de Rossi
Portia de Rossi (born January 31, 1973) is an Australian actress best known for her roles as lawyer Nelle Porter on the television series Ally McBeal and as Lindsay Bluth Fünke on the television series Arrested Development
Ellen DeGeneres is putting the California Supreme Court ruling in favor of gay marriage into action — she and Portia de Rossi plan to wed, DeGeneres announced during a taping of her talk show.

Personal life

De Rossi, who was married for two years to documentary filmmaker Mel Metcalfe,is now openly gay. From 2000 – 2004, de Rossi dated singer Francesca Gregorini, daughter of actress Barbara Bach and stepchild of Ringo Starr. De Rossi dodged media questions about her sexual orientation and the relationship during this period. De Rossi was rarely pictured with Gregorini in public.

Brief Info about Ellen Lee DeGeneres

Ellen Lee DeGeneres (born January 26, 1958) is an American stand-up comedian, actress, and currently the Emmy Award-winning host of the syndicated talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

She has hosted both the Academy Awards and the Primetime Emmys. As a film actress, she starred in Mr. Wrong, appeared in EDtv and The Love Letter, and provided the voice of "Dory" in the Pixar animated hit film Finding Nemo. She also starred in two television sitcoms, The Ellen Show from 2001 to 2002 and Ellen from 1994 to 1998. In 1997 during the fourth season of Ellen, she "came out" publicly as a lesbian in an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Shortly afterwards, her character Ellen Morgan also came out and the series went on to explore various LGBT issues as well as the "coming out" process.

Personal life

DeGeneres' relationship with former Another World actress Anne Heche turned into material for the tabloid press. After several years in the spotlight, Heche broke up with DeGeneres and went on to marry cameraman Coley Laffoon. DeGeneres then had a relationship with actress/director/photographer Alexandra Hedison. They appeared on the cover of The Advocate magazine (after their split-up had already been announced to the press). Since 2004, DeGeneres has been in a relationship with Arrested Development and former Ally McBeal star Portia de Rossi. DeGeneres and de Rossi currently live in Beverly Hills with 3 dogs and 4 cats. One dog is a Maltipoo named Wolf.

DeGeneres has one brother, Vance, who made a guest appearance on Ellen in 1994. Vance was also a correspondent for The Daily Show from 1999 to 2001.

DeGeneres was taping the episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday, the day the state's high court struck down California laws against gay marriage, and it was to air Friday, a person close to the production said.

The person, who was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly, spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.

Citing the court's ruling, DeGeneres said she and girlfriend de Rossi ("Ally McBeal," "Nip/Tuck") would be getting married.

De Rossi, 35, who was in the studio, and DeGeneres, 50, were applauded by audience members, the person close to the production said.

Calls and e-mails late Thursday to DeGeneres' publicist were not immediately returned.

The court ruling means same-sex couples could tie the knot in as little as a month. However, religious and social conservatives are seeking to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot in November that would undo the Supreme Court ruling and ban gay marriage.

DeGeneres has boldly used TV before to make a stand for gay rights.

In 1997, she brought her character on the ABC sitcom "Ellen" out of the closet, making the show the first on prime-time network TV to have an openly gay lead. The move drew cheers from gay civil rights organizations but was condemned by some religious groups.

A month before, DeGeneres had proclaimed from the cover of Time magazine that she was a lesbian.

DeGeneres and the glamorous de Rossi have been a familiar couple at Hollywood events, including the Academy Awards. Previously, DeGeneres had a high-profile relationship with actress Anne Heche.

In a 2005 interview with Allure magazine, the comedian said she hoped she and de Rossi are "together the rest of our lives."

"I never would have thought my life would have turned out this way," DeGeneres told the magazine. "To have money. Or to have a gorgeous girlfriend. I just feel so lucky with everything in my life right now."

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer..love secrets!!

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer don't seem too worried about overindulging on together-time. On Wednesday, the carefully coiffed couple moved their well-documented schmoopiness from Miami to New York, where they hit the paparazzi-surrounded Waverly Inn for a low-key dinner with pals. "Jennifer was just smiling and looking on, clearly in love with him and acting like he was the smartest guy on Earth," a picture-painting, conclusion-leaping eyewitness relays to Us. "She rubbed his back several times and they had their hands touching under the table. It was really cute!" People reports the joke-cracking singer-songwriter, 30, who was spied sneaking a backstage kiss from the tanned and toned actress, 39, during a performance in Orlando Tuesday night, kept her laughing during their meal. (For those wondering -- and you know who you are -- Us says they split a $55 plate of truffle mac and cheese.) Jen and John foiled shutterbugs trying to get a shot of them together by exiting the eatery separately. They then headed over to Hudson Bar and Books, where they were "kissing, hugging and posing for photos together," reports People. And the definitive sign that they're smitten? Mayer got funky and did a "goofy little dance" for Aniston, who refrained from covering her face in embarrassment. They were later seen entering -- separately, of course -- Jen's New York hotel.

Farina : An Actor arrested with gun in luggage at LAX??

WHo Is Farina ??
Farina began his work in show business working for director Michael Mann as a police consultant on Mann's early works. This led to an interest in acting when Mann cast him in a small role in the 1981 film Thief. Farina proceeded to moonlight as an actor in the Chicago theater scene before Mann chose him for his Crime Story series. Farina played the mobster Albert Lombard in Michael Mann's other television show Miami Vice.
One of his most well-known movie characters is Jimmy Serrano, the mob boss from Midnight Run. Other movies in Farina's filmography include Manhunter, Striking Distance, Another Stakeout, Get Shorty, Saving Private Ryan, Big Trouble, Snatch, The Mod Squad and Out of Sight. He has also acted opposite Bette Midler in the romantic comedy That Old Feeling. In early 2005 Farina provided the voice of aging boxer-turned-superhero Wildcat on Justice League Unlimited.
Farina starred as Det. Joe Fontana on NBC's long-running television series Law & Order from 2004 to 2006. In May 2006, it was announced that Farina was leaving Law & Order to pursue other projects.
His role of -Detective Lt. Mike Torello on Crime Story was as a Chicago police officer. Farina's Law & Order character, Joe Fontana, worked for Chicago Homicide before his transfer to the NYPD. As is common on Law & Order, Fontana shares a number of other characteristics with the actor who plays him: they hail from the same Chicago neighborhood, attended the same parochial school, and have the same tastes in both clothes and music (Dean Martin).

Oklahoma Storms : Leave Behind Death and Debris

Stunned survivors picked through the little that was left of their communities Sunday after tornadoes tore across the Plains and South, killing at least 22 people in three states and leaving behind a trail of destruction and stories of loss.
At least 15 people died in southwestern Missouri. In the fading mining town of Picher, Okla., at least six people were killed, and at least one person died in storms in Georgia.
Susan Roberts, 61, stared at the smashed remains of her classic 1985 Cadillac sitting on her living room floor — the only thing left of her Seneca home. A woman who had apparently sought shelter in the car died there, she said.
"That is what is tearing me up," Roberts said. She had warned the woman — who stopped to change a tire as Roberts and her 13-year-old grandson drove away from the rental house — to escape. The tornado hit just minutes later. "I'm from Kansas. I grew up watching storms," she said as she walked through the debris. "If I didn't have my grandson with me, I probably wouldn't have left."
The same storm system earlier hit Oklahoma, where at least six people died and 150 people were injured in Picher.
The town, once a bustling mining center of 20,000 that dwindled to about 800 people as families fled lead pollution there, was a surreal scene of overturned cars, smashed homes and mattresses, and twisted metal high stuck in the canopy of trees.
"I swear I could see cars floating," said Herman Hernandez, 68. "And there was a roar, louder and louder."
Ed Keheley was headed to town to help out Saturday night when he heard a woman screaming. He looked over to see her hand reaching out of debris.
"She was sitting in the bathtub, she had curlers in her hair and she wanted out of there," said Keheley, who along with several others pulled her out.
The area is part of a Superfund site, and residents have been asked to take part in state and federal buyouts in recent years.
"From what I've been able to determine, that wouldn't have any bearing on whether a disaster declaration would come forth," said Federal Emergency Management Agency spokesman Earl Armstrong.
One storm victim's child was initially reported dead, but state emergency management spokeswoman Michelann Ooten later said the infant was actually alive at a Tulsa hospital.
As the system moved east on Sunday, one of at least six tornadoes in Georgia killed a person in Dublin, about 120 miles southeast of Atlanta, the National Weather Service said.
The small town of Kite was destroyed by the storm, said Caroline Pope, a spokeswoman for the Johnson County Sheriff's Department. Close to 1,000 people live in the community, she said.
"From what they're telling me, it's gone," she said from the dispatch center in the jail, which was operating on a generator because the power was out.
Storms later Sunday in North Carolina destroyed several mobile homes, but there was no word on injuries, said Patty McQuillan of the state police. And in South Carolina, a possible tornado damaged several homes, but no injuries were reported, said Charleston County spokeswoman Jennie Davis.
President Bush has talked with governors to express his condolences for the lives lost and to discuss needs for recovery, according to the White House.
"The federal government will be moving hard to help," Bush said.
In Missouri, the tornado hit the rural area about eight miles north of Seneca and continued east.
Jane Lant climbed over splintered wood to go through the mud-caked remains of her bridal shop.
"I just feel so awful, going through this rubble when they are out looking for bodies," she said as she motioned to the search dogs wandering the field behind her. An unidentified body lay under a blue tarp nearby.
Among the dead were five family members of her neighbor who had been going to a wedding when the tornado caught their vehicle in front of her store, she said.
Next door, her husband's feed store also lay in shambles. But one bright moment came Sunday when rescuers heard chirping from the mound and found a half-dozen chicks. They had rescued about 100 the night before.
Susie Stonner, spokeswoman for the state Emergency Management Agency, said it was unclear how many homes had been damaged. But she said officials in Newton County, which includes Seneca, had initial estimates of 50 homes damaged or destroyed there.
In storm-weary Arkansas, a tornado caused significant damage in Stuttgart, but no one was seriously injured, said Weather Service meteorologist Joe Goudsward.
Tornadoes killed 13 people in Arkansas on Feb. 5, and another seven were killed in an outbreak May 2. In between was freezing weather, persistent rain and river flooding that damaged homes and has slowed farmers in their planting

Suri - Using ancient Rome recipe?

Recent pictures of 2-year-old Suri Cruise still using a bottle made some question Tom and Katie's parenting skills. But is Scientology to blame?According to a baffling report from Defamer, L. Ron Hubbard ordered Scientologist moms to feed their children a mixture of barley water, homogenized milk, and lots of honey -- a recipe he obtained during time travel to ancient Rome. One issue, though, is that the kiddie cocktail can be toxic.

In what is purported to be testimonials by former Scientologists who have had experience with "Hubbard's baby formula," some say it caused the teeth of the children to rot due to high sugar content. Honey, which is to blame for the high sugar content, can be toxic to infants, as it contains a bacteria that can cause botulism. Others say it made the babies "thin and colicky," while one even claims children "screamed themselves to death."And Suri isn't the only Scientolo-tot with a penchant for bottles. On a recent appearance on 'Rachael Ray,' actress Leah Remini talked about how her 3-year-old daughter Sophia still drinks upwards of "six or more bottles a night. Remini goes on to say that she "could see her drinking a bottle 'til she's 16."

Over the past few years, Cruise's relationship with the controversial religion has been front and center. While promoting 'War of the Worlds,' the actor got into a heated debate with 'Today' host Matt Lauer on the ethics and practices of psychiatry. Cruise famously told Lauer that he was being "glib," and proclaimed that only he knew the truth behind the science. In January, Gawker posted a video of Cruise giving a candid discussion about Scientology, calling them "the authorities" and saying it is a "privilege" to become one. The clip, which Gawker labeled an "indoctrine video," was never meant to be seen by the public, which prompted a lawsuit from the Church of Scientology.
